My name is Shane R. Koppens,

I am the Founder of FTK Lacrosse and the Head Coach for the LSU Men's Lacrosse Program. I would like to share some information with you about FTK Lacrosse as well as my professional experience. As a player a decade ago, I was extremely fortunate to wear the Green and Grey for the Loyola Greyhounds in Baltimore, MD. Playing in an environment that promoted a team-first attitude and a hard-working mentality, I was able to elevate my game both on and off the field. I was honored as a two-time All-American Attackman and two-time Captain as a player, while earning a great education at an amazing University. Through commitment, hard work and the help of my teammates and coaches, I was fortunate to be drafted in the 2009 MLL Draft (21st overall) to pursue a professional career. After playing professional lacrosse, I began to develop a concept of how to give back to the gave that gave me so much. It is my goal to use the same fundamentals that I was taught, to help players of all ages develop superior skill sets, proper techniques, strong game sense, enhanced field awareness, and excellent sportsmanship. Bottom line - I am truly passionate about coaching and give back to this amazing game!
